Social Media Moderation Policy

The Headquarters for the World Heritage Registration Promotion for Jomon Prehistoric Sites (hereinafter referred to as “the Headquarters”) has the following official social media accounts (hereinafter referred to as “the Accounts”) for the Jomon Prehistoric Sites in Northern Japan.

Administrator and Manager of the Accounts

The Submanager of the Secretariat for the Promotion of the World Heritage Inscription of Jomon Prehistoric Sites (the General Manager of the World Cultural Heritage Registration Promotion Office, Aomori Prefectural Government) serves as the administrator of the Accounts, and a staff member of the Secretariat for the Promotion of the World Heritage Inscription of Jomon Prehistoric Sites (a staff member of the World Cultural Heritage Registration Promotion Office, Aomori Prefectural Government) serves as the manager of the Accounts.

Purpose

The primary purpose of the Accounts is to provide information regarding the Jomon Prehistoric Sites in Northern Japan.

Hours of the Accounts’ Administration

As a general rule, the Accounts are administered between 8:30 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. Monday to Friday (Japan time). However, information may be posted outside these hours if necessary.

Handling of User Opinions

As a general rule, the Headquarters will not reply to any comments or direct messages to the Accounts.

Prohibitions

The Headquarters may hide, in whole or in part, delete or reject comments which are unrelated to the original topics or are deemed to fall under any of the following conditions, without notifying the users.

  1. (1)Comments that violate or may violate a law or regulation;
  2. (2)Comments that are against public order or morals;
  3. (3)Comments that promote criminal acts;
  4. (4)Comments that slander or defame an individual, a company or another entity, or that undermine the reputation or trustworthiness of these;
  5. (5)Comments that infringe on a person’s privacy, such as by identifying, disclosing or divulging personal information to a third party without the consent of the person in question;
  6. (6)Comments that infringe on the intellectual property rights (e.g., copyrights, trademark rights, portrait rights) of the Headquarters or any third party;
  7. (7)Comments that are intended to generate profit, including those for advertisement, promotion, solicitation or marketing;
  8. (8)Comments that are intended for political or religious activities;
  9. (9)Comments that include false information or significantly deviate from the truth;
  10. (10)Comments that discriminate or promote discrimination based on race, thought, creed or the like;
  11. (11)Inappropriate comments made using indecent or obscene language;
  12. (12)Comments with the same or similar content posted repeatedly by the same user;
  13. (13)Objectionable comments which prompt a third party to request that the administrator delete them and which the administrator determines should be deleted;
  14. (14)Other comments or content deemed inappropriate by the administrator or links that contain such comments or content

  1. (1)The information posted on the Accounts is not necessarily official announcements from or views of the Headquarters or relevant local governments. Official announcements are made via websites, press releases and other media of the Headquarters or relevant local governments.
  2. (2)While every effort is made to ensure that the information posted on the Accounts is current and accurate, the Headquarters is in no way liable for any action taken by users based on the information.
  3. (3)The Headquarters bears no responsibility for any trouble or damage that arises between users in connection with the Account, or for any trouble or damage that arises between users and third parties in connection with the Account.

Changes to the Social Media Moderation Policy

The administrator may change this Social Media Moderation Policy without prior notice.

  1. (1)You may not be able to load linked-to pages properly depending on your browsing environment, such as the type of browser you use.
  2. (2)The terms of the Aomori Prefectural Government Social Media Moderation Policy apply mutatis mutandis to any matters not provided for in this Social Media Moderation Policy.
